Papillon Social Media was founded by Angelina Vicknair and Myndee Corkern, who are both bloggers, social media influencers and digital strategists. Together they boast over 10 years combined experience in digital marketing, content curation, blogging and social media management.
Angelina and Myndee began working together at the New Orleans Moms Blog, creating videos for Facebook Live, garnering over 4,000 views per video. They discovered they not only had great chemistry, but had each been running their own social media company. Embracing the idea of ‘better together’ they created Papillon Social Media. As a nod to New Orleans French heritage, Papillon means ‘butterfly.’ Since Angelina and Myndee are both social butterflies, the name was a perfect fit.
After studying at Loyola University, Myndee found her passion in social media and content marketing. She finds joy in building others up, making her the perfect fit to promote a business. She’s worked with large hospitals, parenting websites and various small businesses. She drinks coffee like it’s her job and listens to embarrassingly pop-y music. She treasures quiet evenings after her children are asleep when she can read and write. She loves exploring New Orleans with her family, soaking in the culture this city has to offer.
Angelina returned to New Orleans after graduating from LSU and furthered her education with a MBA from UNO. After working for years in public relations, she turned her affinity for all things social into a business. She also owned an Anytime Fitness, so she has firsthand experience as an entrepreneur. Angelina’s a foodie, wino and snowball addict who enjoys barre and expanding her vast makeup collection. Down time is filled with family pool days, trips to the farmer’s market and attempts to make it through Sunday mass with kids.
